VERY CHATTY Winter Scrapbook xx

Sorry it has been a while. I have just been really busy with school work and stuff. I have had 2x 1000 word coursework to write. It is not a massive amount to write but I have just really felt the pressure. It just meant that like when I had down time it seemed contradictory to write anything other than my essays, right? I am back though and yeah I am really looking forward to having them sent off to be marked. Also the coursework was to write a blogpost x2 and so it is funny that this is the assignment I am really struggling with. My friend was like 'oh this is the perfect coursework for you ruby because you write a blog'. However, they haven't read my blog- like it is not articulate or well written at all. Anyway, it just sent me on a spiral of imposter syndrome and doubt. However, my friend is right I have been blogging for 5 years (Happy Hippo was 5 years old this year) and so I totally have this assignment in the bag.

Anyway, I thought I would just share what I have been up to recently. I have no idea if my followers like these sorts of posts but they are the easiest to write tbh. I have not been up to too much. I had a bit of a disaster of a Halloween and it is so sad because I looked so cute that evening. Ugh it was not good. There were tears.

Saurkraut

I made some carrot, cabbage and dill saurkraut. Omg I was shaking with fear opening it after the 10 days of fermenting. I was so worried. I did try it though and it was pretty good. I have some improvements to note for next time. I should have been more liberal with the dill. It was so fun waiting though for it to ferment. It was thrilling. I felt alive.

It looks totally unappetising. For those of you who do not know what saurkraut is, it is normally cabbage. However, I do try and avoid cabbage hence why mine is mostly carrot. I love cabbage just like dogs like chocolate. I would however recommend it if you have never tried it. You can buy it pre made for pretty cheap.

Gothic Literature Trip

During reading week there was a school trip to see a performance of Jekyll and Hyde. You didn't have to pay so like why not... something to do. Anyway, I was sat there and I just wasn't engaged with the performance. I was really preoccupied with anxiety about my assignments. I was also probably asleep I cant lie. Anyway I was sort of awaken by clapping and the lights turned on ect. So I left the theatre to go home. I was about 4 metre out of the theatre and I was like 'woah Ruby what are you doing'. 

It was the interval. I was looking around. I was so disorientated. I was trying to work out whether it was the interval or not. But it basically must have been because only myself and one person smoking a cigarette were outside. So basically I ended up going back inside and yeah. The rest of the performance was not bad. Not too excited about reading the book but yeah. 

Advice Pls x

I do a lot of extra curricular things but there is nothing exactly exciting to say about them. I do actually need some advice; I have started doing dance in the evenings and I sort of fancy new dance outfits ect. Basically please send me outfit ideas, or tell me where I can get ethical sports wear or second hand sportswear. I also have to get a vajazzled bra for a performance. I was thinking of making one but I do not know how easy that would be. Advice pls x

Guilty!

I am starting to think about what blogposts people might like to read at Christmas. So please let me know if you have any ideas. I think I am going to Edinburgh with my friend before Christmas. Although I was looking at hotels yesterday and most of the good ones are already booked up which concerns me. I wanted to stay in a really classy hotel.

Anyway guys. Sorry this was posted a bit later on a Friday evening. I do try and post every Friday but it is a bit hit and miss about whether I do. Tonight I was working at a concert. It was really good fun actually. Omg the musicians were all wearing capes, it was very satanic. I was a bit worried I was going to get possessed.
