I have been helping my parents move house and so I am sorry that there has not been a blogpost for a while. It has been really difficult to like find anything or find any time to do any blogging. I misplaced my laptop for a few days and then also I was going to make my sister a top for her birthday but I cannot find my sewing patterns. We are not going to unpack because we are renovating in a few months and everything is going to be done including flooring, kitchen, bathroom. It is just such a nightmare having everything in boxes though and not being able to find anything.
I have loved trying some recipes from my parent's Ottolenghi cookbooks.
Plans for the girls boudoir
So like the rest of the new house, mine and my sister's room sort of needs a make over. I mean look at it...
Omg when we first moved in I actually jumped out my skin because I had gone into my room and shut the door and I was just lying on my bed when I looked up and saw that the dressing gown of the person who used to live here was still hanging up on the door. So creepy.
So my sister and I was thinking for our room something a little bit 70s and we were thinking lots of Jewel tone colours. I’ll show you my mood board…
I love the colour scheme of this room it’s really lovely with the lighter colour pink mauve and then the sofas in a darker shade. I also love the Toga sofas as well- they are very cool.
My sister and I wanted a leopard print carpet for that really girly boudoir look. However I think there is going to be new wooden floors put in so we may just skip this but incorporate the leopard print elsewear in the room.
I’m writing this on my phone because I am on hols so I apologise if the text is all over the place or like just generally badly written. Blogger is not the easiest site to use on your phone.
What have I been watching
I watched a documentary on Netflix about Woodstock 99 which I would actually recommend. Other than that I have not watched too much. I need to watch the last episode of Stranger Things series 4 and also the final episode of Better Call Saul.
Bit random but I went to like a Tampon focus group last Thursday for a company that had developed a new tampon applicator. I think they wanted to see if the tampon applicator they had designed was like instinctual (that’s not quite the right word- they were trying to see if it was like obvious how to use it) to use. However, I did not get the hang of it at all which is a bit awkward. I did leave with some free samples though. I walked to Malibu street as I was near Surrey Quays for the focus group. I then walked to Bermondsey street for a Franco Manca. And then walked to Waterloo via the south bank. A lot of walking- my feet were very weary.
Plans for the Rest of Summer
I am currently on hols at the moment in France. I went out yesterday with my mum for a browse around the town, we had some wine and a crepe for lunch. I got a new handbag from Galleries which I got accused of shoplifting- it will look really cute for winter. And then we met up with my sister after for a drink in a square.
When I am back after my hols I have a Charlotte Tilbury make up tutorial at Fenwick Bond Street booked in which I am really looking forward to. I am looking for a red lipstick which does not wash me out and I am hoping the make up artist can teach me an easy eye look I will be able to do. Hopefully it’s actually good.
I have been doing so much reading this summer so I thought I would do a blogpost on the books I read this summer. And also maybe another blogpost on how I prepare for returning to University. So yeah if that sounds good. Also let me know what other blogposts we like.
