Summer Hols Notes Nice France 2022

Hi darlings x

I wanted to do a bit of traveling this summer but like I am so not a proactive person sometimes, it is something I need to work on. I did want to go somewhere before uni started again but I wasnt really able to find any cheap tickets being so last minute and i was starting to give up on the idea. Anyway, my parents discovered they had a ticket for me to go to Nice, which they did not realised they had until a week before. So yeah that was very lucky.

It was really good to return to the South of France especially to escape the cardboard boxes in the house in London.

On the first day my mum and I got a crepe from a really creperie in the Old Town. I had like a cheese and tomato one, glass of wine and then a Nutella crepe for dessert. 

We went to Galleries Lafayette where I purchased a bag at a vintage concession. It sort of does need scrubbing up a little bit as some of the suede is a bit dirty but I have faith that it will scrub up nicely. But yeah, if anyone has any like really good suggestions for cleaning suede let me know. I think once it is clean it will look really cute with a winter jumper, pair of leggings and some ballet flats (of course x) for an autumn/ winter date look. But yeah I think it’s really adorable and aside from the marks on the suede it’s in nice condition.

My sister and I went to a friends flat for a barbeque as they were leaving for university. They had a cute roof terrace and the sunset was so pretty. We had some very interesting Romanian wine. Very chill evening.

One day of our hols we went to Monaco to go to the Louboutin exhibition that was on. It was really fun actually. I did go to a Louboutin exhibition many many years ago at the Design Museum but it wasn't as good as this one.

Anyway, the exhibition was a lot of fun. After we took the bus across Monaco after and got some lunch at a pizza place.  Then hopped back on the train home. 

 

Before we went into the exhibition we walked through a Japanese Zen Garden which was anything but zen- obviously being Monaco there were building works everywhere and also I nearly fell head first in a koi pond because I tripped stepping onto a wooden bridge.

This carpet is so funny

My sister and I would like go out for drinks on most of the nights. It is so lovely to just people watch in the evening and yeah just have a gossip with her.

Here I am drinking pasties which is one of my favourite drinks to order when I am in France.

So naff

Omg on one of the days I went to the viewing platform that overlooks the city which is on a big hill. It is really lovely up there. But when I was walking down the hill a massive bit of dust went into my eye and it hurt soo much. I panicked and fell down some stairs.

My mum and I went to a art galleries and museums during the day. We went to a pretty awful geography museum which was like one room.

We did some other stuff as-well. One day we caught a bus to Ville Franche. We had a picnic and had a dip in the sea. It was really lovely.
