Hello,
Apologies for this very late blogpost and this is sort of backlog of blogposts which I will be sharing in the next few weeks.
I thought I will begin on catching you up on what I have been up to:
What I have been up to
Christmassy Day Out in Chelsea
I met up with my partner one weekend to go to Chelsea for a bit of browsing. There was a Christmassy fair in the middle of Sloane Square which was a Ralph Lauren sponsored pop up.
There was also loads of decorations and in Duke of York square there was an installation of light up flowers which was pretty.
We went to a sushi restaurant that we really like on Kings Road, it is called Oka and its my go-to dinner place when I go to Chelsea. If anyone has any recommendations of like more lunch places to eat in Chelsea, let me know.
I have been doing a couple of festive shopping outings at Kings Road recently- it is one of my favourite places to go shopping.
Courtauld Gallery
I went to see the Wayne Theibaud exhibition at the Courtauld Gallery. It was really great actually. He painted food such as delicatessan produce, cakes, fast food and sweets. It was a really fab exhibition. It is only a small exhibition but it was good.
V&A
I went to the V&A with a pal of mine. We went to the Marie Antoinette exhibition at the V&A which was really goods; there were some really interesting items. I think I may go back as I was speaking with my friend and so was sort of not really absorbing the exhibition. After, we went to grabbed a cream tea and then did some shopping in Kensington.
Day Out at Lewisham's Winter Wonderland
I went to the Lewisham's version of Winter Wonderland in Beckenham Place Park with a few friends a few weekends ago. It was... an experience lol. So disorganised, the power kept on going out and the ice rink was quite small- the AI images on the website gave us really high expectations. I don't think it helped that it was raining really fucking heavily (although the ice rink was covered which is good) and it was the opening night (as the opening was delayed by one week) and there was a lot of confusion from staff.
I did have fun though when we were actually skating. I used to take lessons as a child, so I am a confident skater although I fell twice and I was aching so badly for a week after.
My festivity level took a hit, ngl.
