Revenge Friday #13 Podcasts, Planner, London

 Hello darlings,

Ugh I am back in London. I was so excited to be back but now I am back I am sort of overwhelmed about what to do. Anyway for this weeks revenge Friday I thought we could do like a university debrief. I will go through some planner porn and maybe give a few organisation tips.

Planner Porn

So for my planner I have got bullet journal inserts which I have been really enjoying using. I have never been someone that would like track my water or like write a to-do list of like 30 tasks, its a bit too much but I have listed below a few pages I like...

Goals and Achievements page- I love how confident building this is. So for one side I do like goals (I don't do SMART goals for this, this is more like just general things I want to focus on in the year) and on the other side I have 'things I have achieved'. This doesn't have to be like mindblowing achievements but small things too such as like helping out at an event, receiving good feedback at work or finishing an exam or doing something you were scared of doing, like a presentation. I saw a badger for the first time.

Then I have done a page which I have seen a few times pop up on my Pinterest which is where you write down the books you have read that year but you arrange it to look like a bookshelf. It is quite cute, here is mine...  (top left)

the bookshelf is looking quite bare (I did not include the books I read for my course). Then I also purchased some plastic wallets that I use as like dividers and you can probably not see clearly in the photo but I just put like pictures and stuff in. I also saw a planner blogger talk about 'routine cards' where they have like a list of prompts, like several habits, so I made one you can see it in the bottom right.

I did used to do a gratitude page, when I was 17 and it actually made me feel better. I just wrote down I think I wrote down like three things a day I was grateful for. I did it for about a month but like... I had to stop because I did not like who I was becoming. It does defo make you like a more positive person.

What I have been watching and listening to:

Black Mirror (Netflix)- New series and I have just one left to watch. Mazey Day was probably the worst one, so naff. They are worth a watch though. I watched Loch Henry which was actually scary but good.

Believe in Magic (BBC Podcast)- This was so interesting. It is a podcast about a mother and daughter who were behind a charity that helped children and young people with cancer. The girl had a brain tumour. However, in the episodes it is sort of revealed that there is something quite sinister going. It is actually gripping and such a sad story. I still have so many questions.

Once Upon a Time in Northern Ireland (BBC Docuseries)- I have watched half of this series so far and it is really good. This was so moving and actually chilling. The documentary has people recalling their own stories and recollections of The Troubles. Yeah I really recommend. It had me teared up at times. I have also now booked a trip to Belfast which I am really excited for.

This is a bit of an unpopular opinion but, I am not actually looking forward to the Barbie film because I am not a huge fan of films with like anthropomorphic objects or like animals that talk. I watched the trailer for it and I am just not keen, like its all a bit head fucky. It does have Ryan Gosling in though which sort of tempts me. Also I was getting drinks with my friend, this week and there was like an advert that I kept seeing on the buses driving past for a film called Elemental, and it had a character that is a water droplet (with eyes obviously). Wtf. I cant stand this, this is just awful. So its a film about a water droplet and its for children but this is way too like philosophical or something. Google it- this is real; I am not making this up. Pls tell me like I am not alone in disliking films like this. Like I actually really hope I am a lovely caring mother when I am older but honestly if my children wanted to see this film, I could not take them to the cinema to see this. I couldn't bare it. This is ridiculous.

Night in London

I went out with two friends on Monday night to the Soho area. We went to some really nice bars actually. They were like cool basement bars, the first was off Tottenham Court Road and it was called Murder Inc Cocktails (the cocktails were inspired by different people) and then we went to one off Shaftsbury Avenue and it was called Freud Bar- it did all the classics which was nice and it felt very edgy and cool. We had a Snog Frozen Yogurt and then we went to China Town for a Chinese (I always go to Wong Kei). Yeah it was actually such a nice evening.

Okay I am off. See you next week. It is the 7th blogiversary of Happyhippo so I was thinking of doing a Q&A, I have thought of some questions but if you want to add a question send it to me via Instagram Happyhippo_blogs.

Lots of love,

Happy Hippo x
