Revenge Friday- Revenge Holiday Gone Wrong

Hello Darlings,

Firstly, are you okay?

My sister and I love quoting this.

I hope you have been well! Honestly guys the revenge life is actually not easy. My solo trip was... awful actually.

Solo trip to Belfast

What happened on this 'holiday'? I don't even know how to explain what a disaster this holiday was... it is too soon lol. Basically on the holiday I had literal delirium- I actually had delirium lol. It was caused by an infection and I also had a cold and a bit of stress at the time which didn't help. It's been about two weeks and I am starting to feel a lot better thankfully but yeah it was not fun.

But yeah Belfast was a really lovely place and such an interesting history. It's a cool place to walk about and explore and just chill in a cafe or pub. I found it so interesting looking at the murals and reading about the stories (they had an exhibition about the troubles in the Ulster Museum). I am not interested in the Titanic but I did go to the museum which was... migraine inducing. The highlight of my trip was I went on a guided tour of like the murals around Shankill Road and Falls Road.

I hardly took any photos. Tbh it is not a holiday I will reminisce about. 😅

I got this cute top in the sale from H&M when I was there. I am not keen on straight leg jeans because I can't get over how flat they make my butt look however, I have been wearing these jeans and I don't mind them. Add a handbag and I think this outfit looks really cute.

Revenge Bits and Pieces

I helped out at a community barbecue where I was pouring pints for people. It is very revenge life to volunteer.

I hardly did anything on revenge Friday, other than watch Seinfeld. I need to like brainstorm some ideas for revenge Friday.

Saturday

I met up with my friend in Sloane Square because we wanted to go to an exhibition at the Saatchi, called 'Civilization'. It was really fab actually. The exhibition consists of photographs from 150 photographers and they capture like humanity. The photographs are really interesting, quite striking and there is a lot of text that explains the context behind the pictures (interesting reads). I defo recommend going. It was really nice going to Chelsea again because I haven't been in a while (since just after covid I think which  was a deeply depressing experience).

There was quite a cool free exhibition, called Beyond the Gaze, on the ground floor of the Saatchi. It was like different landscapes by 8 different female artists. There was one artist called Kirsty Harris who had a lot of mushroom clouds in her art, we thought this tapestry was so impressive. It reminded me I need to go to the cinema  to see Oppenheimer.

Anyway I hope you have a lovely week.

lots of love,

Happy Hippo x
